Preah Vihear was built by King Yasovarmamn I (889-900) in the 6th century. Now, it has been recorded into and become UNESCO World heritage. The temple was to work on the original dedicated to Shiva based on result of spiritual development, increased political prestige and economic growth. It was also naturally reflected more than 300 years of consultation with deal of remodeling under subsequent King Suryavarman II (1113 – 1150).
Besides, it was brought the increased prestige naturally altered the original small sanctuary linked to the one of the greatest Khmer temples for all times. Indeed, the ranking was according to the finest in situ carving being displayed the highest standards of unique Khmer architecture.
With the Franco-Siamese Treaty of 1904 and 1907, the Hague officially announced that the Preah Vihear Temple really located inside the Cambodia territory.
